I have a five year old niece. Since her birth her life has been an emotional roller coaster. At two she got to go see her dad through the prison glass for a year. During that time her uncle helped take care of her most of the time she called him dad. Her dad got out of prison in a year. He fought with her mom the halftime. When she was 4 Her uncle was killed in a car accident and in the same week her dad packed all his clothes and said he had another woman pregnant. My niece has always been a nervous child she has to have short hair because she chews it off she bites her finger nails til they bleed. This all started when her dad went to jail. The hair loss at the top of her head is new. Many kids go through rough family lives. I guess she is justhHypersensitive. Ant experiance or advice would be great. Oh yeah she is now in the middle of a horrible custody battle. She goes weeks with out dseeing her mom. she has a two year old sister she is trying to mother. It is the family courts doing this. My sis got a DUI so they took the girls with only supervised visits. Any how my main question is about the hair loss.Is there anyone on here that has experiance with alopecia (hair loss) in children?
Oh man, it sounds like she (and your whole family) has been through the ringer. I really hope things start going better for you guys. I do have a suggestion though, make sure they are testing her for celiac disease. Hair loss and nervousness/anxiety are both common symptoms of celiac disease. It's an autoimmune disease caused by gluten intolerance and the cure is a gluten free diet. Many physicians don't suspect it unless a patient has weight loss or diarrhea, but it's just as likely that a patient will present with hair loss, anxiety, seizures, all kinds of other things. In fact, the most common symptom in children is irritability. It's sad that it's not diagnosed more often because the number of patients is about 1 in 100, making it extremely common. I mean, it's possible that she really does just have a terrible case of anxiety due to her situation, but make sure there aren't any biological causes. Do a search for ';celiac disease alopecia'; and you'll find a ton of links. Let me know if you have any questions. I hope this helps!

edit: also, anemia is very common in people who chew their hair. It's considered by some to be a form of pica (you know, where people eat crazy things like rocks and dirt). Pica results from severe anemia. Anemia is extremely common among people with celiac disease. I have celiac disease and I craved cleaning products. I knew it was crazy but it was all I could think about. Fortunately I was able to resist the cravings and when I started eating gluten free the cravings went away completely. Definitely get her tested.

I'm sorry to hear what that baby is going through it's hard when you're a mom ..and feel so helpless maybe this will help..About 3yrs ago I had a hysterectomy that cause my hair to fall out ,Even on my arms, and underarms you name it... it happen..So I went online and done some homework...I ran across this website that offered Nourkrin Hair Vitamins I start taking these vitamins 2/ pills a day for about 6-8 months..then after wards one-pill a day you will begin to see results a lot faster ...just pop it in her mouth and go... believe me you will be so much surprise of the outcome..please go to Google and type in Nourkrin and review /also give her a good multivitamin..Hope this helps! E-mail and let me know how she is doing you will be very please mom.How to cope with Alopecia? (hair loss)?
Hair loss, whether from cancer treatments, illnesses, disease, or other causes, can be extremely difficult to handle and deal with. This is especially true if the person suffering from the hair loss is a child. While you may not be able to cure, stop, or correct the hair loss, you can influence how your child handles the hair loss and teach them ways to cope with the distress.
Once your child has lost all of their hair it is time to focus your efforts on camouflaging the baldness and helping them feel confident at all times. A good way to do this is with head accessories. Scarves, headbands, and hats are very stylish and make good cover for balding scalps. Take your child shopping and let them try on numerous styles and options. Once they find something they like buy enough to give them daily options. You can also try buying the same accessories for yourself or other family members to wear right along with your child. This can help reduce the stigmatism of being different that your child may feel.
Another option for covering hair loss is to purchase a wig. Many companies make wigs specially fitted for children. These wigs are also designed is styles more in tune with younger tastes. Before purchasing a wig make sure that you research the many options, such as synthetic hair, real hair, and different types of adhesive, to ensure that you are getting a hair piece your child will wear comfortably and proudly.
Helping Children Cope With Hair Loss
To further aid you in your efforts to help your child cope with hair loss you may wish to join a local support group. In these sessions children and parents that are also dealing with this devastating circumstance can share stories, frustrations, tips, support, and friendship. If nothing else the groups will help your children that they are not alone in their struggles and give them a few hours of fitting in. Finally, if you feel like taking drastic measures you, or your other family members can shave your heads in support of your child. Many mothers, fathers, aunts, uncles, and siblings have clipped their locks to unify the family in support of the suffering child!
No matter how well you try to prepare it is important to remember that this will be a very trying ordeal for your child, and even though they may seem to accept the hair loss one day they could break down in distress the next. Keep the lines of communication open, answer all of your child's questions as honestly as possible, and try to keep an upbeat outlook during even the roughest times, a good attitude is often contagious.
Good luck and I hope that this helps you....

Question/Treatment of Traction Alopecia (Hair loss)?
My hair on the top of my head, in front, and especially around the scalp have been thinning dramatically in the past few years. I've been growing my hair as long as I could in the past few years, trying to attain nice long hair, and it's all past my shoulders at this point. EXCEPT for the top of my head which doesn't seem like it has budged in length, and only gotten shorter. This constitutes to a very awkward and terrible looking balance of hair that kills my hopes of having long hair, or at the very least HAIR.
I've been noticing that the hair thinning starts right around where I would normally wear a headset. I should mention at this point I am an avid gamer and computer user, spending many hours a day playing games/working on the computer. I'm always wearing a headset as well, which as I mentioned the hair thinning starts right around there (or ends, you could say). Behind the headset however, the hair is very long and thick.
I panicked the other day when I began seeing my scalp in the mirror, and decided to do some research on connections between excessive headset usage and hair loss, and found an article that states that frequent use of headsets will cause Traction Alopecia.
I've only been using a headset for a few years, which before I really began wearing a headset all of the time my hair seemed fine. It's been a downward spiral since and I'm slowly piecing it that it's most likely the excessive usage of headsets that could be causing it, after shrugging it off as an unfortunate circumstance of genes.
So, the actual question to be asked is, is it too late for my hair to recover? (I will obviously stop using headsets, or at least a lot less than I do now). Are there any treatments that can be done that don't involve expensive surgeries or drugs with nasty side effects?Question/Treatment of Traction Alopecia (Hair loss)?
It could be the headset or it could be your hair just taking natures course. If it's male pattern baldness look at what your mother's father's hair looks like. Nioxxin hair product system is great, Also take Biotin and Vitamin E.Question/Treatment of Traction Alopecia (Hair loss)?
I would say not to use chemicals on your hair. Why don't you go for some home remedies. Egg whites, lemon juice, oil massages, reducing stress and diet changes can reduce hair fall and make it healthier. You can find more cheap, effective and natural home remedies for hair loss as well as for healthy hair at http://www.wellnesstalk.org/hairfall.htm/a>

I have alopecia(hair loss in women). Please help!?
Ive been suffering from alopecia for two years now. Ive gone to the doctor and still they have no clue why i keep losing hair. Two years ago it was really bad but since then i have been losing hair and still have some minor bald spots. The bald spots are not visible unless I comb my hair a certain way. I always have to keep the same hairstyle. Before I started losing hair, I had a lot of volume. Since I have a lot of volume, the hair I do have seems full but clearly its not. I really want to get rid of the bald spots and ive been using nioxin, taking vitamins, and occasionally use i think rogaine or something similar, but thats very rarely. If youve gone through this before, please help. I rlly want my hair back. thank you so much. Oh and Im 16, so alopecia isnt very common for people my age. I thought maybe it was due to stress because i get stressed very easily?I have alopecia(hair loss in women). Please help!?

Alopecia Areata is a stress related disorder. My bo went through it sometime back. However he managed to recover through a treatment he found in www.curespotbaldness.com. You might want to try it out. All the best and wish you a quick recovery.

Alopecia - hair loss?
I have been signed off work with work related stress after having symptoms dizziness, panic attacks but more importantly loss of hair. After 3 months work are eager for me to return, however, I am still losing my hair and although feel stronger don't feel strong enough to return full time. Occupational health have assessed me as fit for work and want me to return full time as soon as a risk assessment has been done. I am due to see my GP and have concerns that my hair loss is a still a problem and more noticeable. What do you think? No nasty comments please.Alopecia - hair loss?
I know how you feel. I lost most of my hair over 15 years ago. Fortunately I was able to grow it back using aromatherapy formulas that I massaged into my scalp. I was very ashamed and self-conscious when my hair was so sparse. I did eventually wear a wig and that was embarrassing also, especially at first. It felt very awkward for people to see me without almost no hair then suddenly with a full head (wig).
Since then hair loss in women has become much more common. Many young women and even teens are suffering with this condition so you are not alone. You may consider getting a nice natural looking wig before going back to work. If it is in the style, color etc as your natural hair people may not take too much notice. They may not have noticed your thinning hair as much as you noticed it. In the meantime you may want to try aromatherapy to help grow your hair back. You can read my hair story about my hair loss, getting a wig etc at the link below. I hope everything works out for you.Alopecia - hair loss?
I had alopecia, most likely related to stress as you describe. at the time I was overloaded with work and close to burning out...It continued getting worse for a good 4-5 months after the worst of the stress was over (I didn't take more than a week off and was still stressed fairly frequently, so that might have made things a bit worse)
The empty spaces stayed for a good 5-6 months after that, but have noticeably filled in.
My Dr. told me a story about his colleague who lost all of his body hair twice to alopecia and said it often takes a year or so before reversing.
I was lucky I just lost huge swathes of my beard... but I've got a thick beard, so if I've shaved at 7am, you could pretty much see the hairless patches by 7:30.
So long as it's nothing more serious than alopecia, I think the worst you'll face is a bit of self-consciousness about your appearance.
you can try the steroids if you haven't already, but that won't make the hair grow back faster (just possibly keep the spot from growing bigger) and I ended up with a lymph node infection from the suppressed immune system that was a whole lot more trouble and not nearly worth it.
All the best.
hope you feel better!
I had alopecia for about a couple of months just two tiny bald spots. it was either get injected by a needle or take thsi foam stuff. I chose the foam stuff I forget what its called but it really helped in closing the two small bald spots and now im much better. you might be better off with an injection.
hello i think you should address to different causes of hair loss,
the hair loss may continue even after your stress level has come down,it may take time , so be patient and keep your self 'de-stressed'(keep balance of hobby and work)
iron deficiency is another cause(keep Haemoglobin of blood atleast till 12) , if you would be advised iron go for sustanined release which are easy on stomach
there is a vitamin called biotin(It is required for healthy maintenance of hair) and has proved to be very good (with results) for nails and hair, comes in 5mg tabs
also go for zinc containing supplements(many person's hair fall has reduced by zinc)
herbal oils(like Petalca) are fantastic for hair, massage to roots before bed,
thyroid levels may also cause hair loss,
i know a website- www.backtohome.com -it is a fantastic and free online course,i highly recommend you to join this course
it will take about 3 mins reading per day
you may even ask questions through this site once you join the course,

Does anyone have a cure for alopecia(hair loss)?
i have suffered from alopecia areata on and off for 4 years. It has been pretty good for the last year and it is now starting to fall out again. I dont think i can cope again if i lose a lot of hair again as it has taken ages to get my hair to a nice style. PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Does anyone have a cure for alopecia(hair loss)?
Alopecia areata cannot be cured; however, it can be treated and the hair can grow back.
In many cases, alopecia areata is treated with drugs that are used for other conditions. Treatment options for alopecia areata include:
Corticosteroids: Anti-inflammatory drugs that are prescribed for autoimmune diseases. Corticosteroids can be given as an injection into the scalp or other areas, orally (as a pill), or applied topically (rubbed into the skin) as an ointment, cream, or foam. Response to therapy may be gradual.
Rogaine: This topical drug is already used as a treatment for pattern baldness. It usually takes about 12 weeks of treatment with Rogaine before hair begins to grow.
Other drugs that are used for alopecia areata with varying degrees of effectiveness include medications used to treat psoriasis and topical sensitizers (drugs that are applied to the skin and cause an allergic reaction that can cause hair growth).Does anyone have a cure for alopecia(hair loss)?
You can cure hair loss easily with profinast. Its a herbal alternative to Finasteride, the prescription drug that works for hair loss.

You are deficient in anti-oxidents and as well you could have a yeast infection.
I had the same thing and went on certain supplements after having a cleanse. It took about 4 months before it stopped falling out, and then it started to grow again. Want to know more I am here, and want to help.
Alopecia Areata
The cause of alopecia areata is unknown, but it is thought to be an autoimmune condition (the body makes antibodies to its own hair) that may affect children or adults of any age. The affected persons are generally in excellent health. This type of hair loss usually causes totally smooth, round patches about the size of a coin or larger. Although rare, it can result in complete loss of scalp and body hair. In most cases the hair regrows; however, dermatologists treat many people with this condition in order to make hair regrow faster.
Treatment includes:
-cortisone injections in the scalp where the hair loss occurred
-topical medications
-a special kind of light treatment
-pills

What is the best treatment for alopecia?(hair loss)?
are there some home remedy or vitamins we can take. What is the best treatment for alopecia?(hair loss)?
Hair loss in men is known as androgenic alopecia or male pattern baldness. Testosterone, the puberty hormone is the cause of male pattern baldness. This hormone brings masculinity in the body of a male child. After finishing its work testosterone converts into dihydrotestosterone (DHT), which clogs hair follicles on the scalp. Hair follicles perform the task of holding hair and providing them with essential nutrients for growth. As hair follicles reduces in size, hair also become thin with them. The meaning of thin hair is weak hair; weak hair fall easily. Once hair fall out of a DHT affected hair follicle, no new hair grow their and that hair follicle is closed completely forever. Numerous such hair follicles constitute bald spot on the head of a man who is suffering from male pattern baldness.
Propecia is an ideal solution for such a hair loss problem. Propecia has finasteride, which is a special type of steroid type II 5-alpha reductase. This active ingredient of Propecia inhibits synthesis of testosterone into dihydrotestosterone (DHT). Due to its action testosterone synthesizes into 5-alpha DHT. This chemical compound is a not a harmful substance for hair follicles. This way Propecia, the appropriate hair loss treatment strikes over the root cause of male pattern baldness.
For more info on Propecia visit: http://www.haircaretips.net/propecia.htm/a>
One of the more common approaches to reversing baldness on the market today is the popular and successful drug Propecia. All drugs and medications come with the risk of side effects, and in some cases, taking a medication for one thing can mask or hide other developing health problems. In the case of Propecia, recent research indicates that using the drug can alter the results of the prostate-specific antigen (PSA) test used to screen for prostate cancer in men.
The study found that Propecia cuts PSA levels in half after one year of use. While there is no PSA threshold below which cancer risk is completely eliminated, or above which cancer is a certainty, the conventional normal range is between 0 and 4.0.
However, for men on Propecia, a PSA level of 2.0 could indicate prostate cancer risk.
';If you've been on Propecia for a year, you should double the PSA score,'; D'Amico said.
';If you are on Propecia for more than a year, don't multiply the score; look at the change in PSA over time. If it goes up by more than three-tenths of a point, consider a biopsy,'; he said.

Recently, medical science has finally identified the main cause of hair loss. Now, it is a known medical fact that hair loss stems from both genetic and hormonal causes. Androgenetic Alopecia or ';male pattern hair loss'; is implicated in 95% of hair loss cases. The key is a hormonal byproduct called DHT (dihydrotestostrone). The more DHT that gets put into your body, the more your hair follicles become thinner and finer until the hair is permanently lost.
Provillus is the natural drug that limits the conversion of testosterone into dihydrotestosterone (DHT) and in turn prevents hair loss.
The Breakthrough formula of Provillus was designed to block DHT and supply the proper nutrients to your body specifically tailored to prevent hair loss and to help you regrow hair naturally.

Usually it is a shock to the system and also genes{your family tree but usually it is the males in your family as baldness is a pattern in families but we are suppose to lose over 100 hairs a day this is normal, and ring worm can cause baldness in spots.
I think the best thing you can do is find yourself a good dermatologist and you will have to go through painful shots but it will work. Also look into the cause of your hair loss. sometimes it is due to stress or diet. My daughter who has a lot of hair suffered from it at one point when she was under an extreme amount of stress. She got shots at a dermatologist which made her hair come back. She also changed her living situation which was the underlying cause of her stress.
A good scalp polish.
The first choice of treatment would be a cortocosteroid cream or lotion which is applied directly to the bald areas. An alternative is an injection of cortocosteroid directly onto and around the bald area.
Oral cortisone is sometimes prescribed for extensive scalp loss or when the condition is rapidly spreading.
There also are Dithranol, Retin A - Tretinoin or Oral zinc.
For treatments for greater than 50% hair loss include Systematic Cortisone, PUVA or Irritants.
There are many home remedies available. Including the following:
Since everybody has their own favorite shampoo, we do not have a special shampoo recipe, but do suggest that you add the following essential oils to your regular shampoo. It is however suggested that you use a mild natural shampoo.
The dilution that you should use is as follows, and please do not add more essential oil than specified, as it may cause irritation.
Shampoo to use with alopecia:
100 ml shampoo mixed with
15 drops jojoba oil
8 drops carrot oil
7 drops rosemary oil
7 drops lavender oil
2 drops tea tree oil
You can use this shampoo as your regular shampoo.
Stimulating massage lotion to help hair loss:
This stimulating lotion can be massaged into the scalp in the morning, after washing and partly drying the hair. Massage with care so as not to stretch or break the hair while massaging.
100 ml mix (50/50 of rosewater and distilled water)
15 ml apple cider vinegar
5 drops rosemary oil
6 drops jojoba oil
3 drops carrot oil
3 drops geranium oil
This mixture should be kept in the fridge and will separate when standing, necessitating you to give it a good shake every morning before applying about 2 teaspoons of the mixture.
Hair conditioner for use when balding:
For a once-a-week conditioning treatment, you can apply the following oil blend and leave on for at least 30 minutes before washing it off. When washing it off, apply some shampoo to the hair before you wet it, to help remove the oil easily.
2 ml jojoba oil (40 drops)
8 drops evening primrose oil
2 drops geranium oil
2 drops palma rosa
Oil treatment for alopecia and hair loss:
This oil blend must be gently (repeat gently) rubbed onto the scalp once a day at night before going to bed. Pay special attention to the bald spots but work through your entire scalp.
3 drops rosemary oil
4 drops geranium oil
4 drops lavender oil
1 drop frankincense oil
4 drops cypress oil
2 drops cinnamon oil
2 drops juniper oil
Take one drop (1 drop only) per day and massage into the scalp before going to bed. The best way to do it is to dispense one drop onto your finger, then rub all your fingertips together to distribute the oil, and then massage the scalp with your fingertips. This treatment must be applied every day, without a single day being skipped.
This is one of the few times where we will use neat (undiluted) pure essential oil on the skin, and you are advised to be on the lookout for any skin irritation. Should that occur immediately cease with the treatment.
Since essential oils can irritate the mucus membranes you are strongly advised to thoroughly wash your hands after applying this treatment, as to prevent accidental transference of the neat oil into your eyes or other sensitive areas.
These are a few remedies, that you can use. Remember, alopecia can be an indication of an underlying medical condition, and you are therefore advised to contact your licensed medical practitioner should you have any medical condition or queries.
Hope that helps.
Make it short and use coconut oil..

Alopecia - hair loss...is this what I have?
I recently have developed a bald patch on my head. I went to a doctor today, and he prescribed me with a anti-fungal lotion to apply to my scalp. Is this a common thing? I'm wondering how much of my hair is going to fall out? It makes me pretty nervous. Will it grow back? I am a 28 year old female. Please help if you've experienced something like this.Alopecia - hair loss...is this what I have?
You have a fungal infection on your scalp. Fungal infections are causing hair loss in patches. If untreated they can cause serious damage. But if you follow the prescriptions of your doctor you will treat the infection and your hair will grow back.
In case if the existing patch is growing in spite of the prescribed therapy, or you notice another patch go immediately to your doctor.
And this is not classical alopecia as men have. This is a temporary alopecia caused by fungal infection, and after treatment your hair will grow back.makeup

Question for women who suffer from alopecia/hair loss?
I was told that I had alopecia areata after half my hair fell out last year. I was very stressed out and not eating well at the time. I'm 25 and otherwise healthy. Luckily the grew back earlier this year after I made a few lifestyle changes.
But now I have a new bald patch.... and I'm so gutted.
Has anyone suffered from the same thing? What do you think brought yours on?
Most importantly, did you kick the problem??Question for women who suffer from alopecia/hair loss?
alopecia areata is most of the time triggered by stress.
I had my first one when my then boyfriend cheated on me with his ex fiancee who was his current house-mate.
When the cause of stress was gone, it grew back. But since then, whenever I am a little stressed or even for no apparent reasons, I get mini alopecia every so often. Most of the time it's the size of small finger nail, so it doesn't bother me.
Stressing about it is the worst thing you can do, so stay healthy and don't worry about it too much. Nothing you can do about it apart from eating enough and keeping ';happy';.
Also, it takes around 3months for a bald patch to form since the ';stress'; is caused. So if you go back 3 months or so and think if you experience any 'stress' that may be the cause of your new bald patch.
Good luck, and chill out! Question for women who suffer from alopecia/hair loss?
hey my friend had the same prob at 23,she went to doc and they tested her thyroid and everything, but we found out it was due to stress and not eating prop, so she had to change alot of things, her hair grew back REALLY slowly, it also annoyed her because it would always stick up,but it did grow back...now you cant even tell!

How to cope with Alopecia? (Hair loss)?
My 9 yr old daughter has alopecia which causes her hair to fall out (completely). With treatment from a Dermatologist her hair will grow back completely over time. It has already but her hair is falling out again. She is having difficulty dealing with going to school. the kids aren't teasing her but she is very self conscience %26amp; often cries. I want to get her counseling. Can anyone give me some advice. How to cope with Alopecia? (Hair loss)?
a girl i no that had that same problem so she got hair extensions and wrapped them around the starting line of her head and then tied it up in a high ponytail(so the extensions hid her having no hair in the middle) and had a thick banded hairband to cover the extension clips... i know its not ideal but it worked for her.!

Could Spironolactone be used to treat non-Alopecia hair loss?
My Dr. prescribed it for me today as well as a thyroid panel...I guess I'm not making the connection, how would spironolactone help me not lose hair?Could Spironolactone be used to treat non-Alopecia hair loss?
Alopecia is, by definition, hair loss. But there are different types of alopecia. You may have meant hair loss that was not ';male pattern baldness';.
Anyway, androgenic alopecia is the most common type of hair loss in women. The drug spironolactone is a potassium-sparing diuretic which also seems to have anti-androgenic activity. This is why it is used to treat hormonal hair loss in women.Could Spironolactone be used to treat non-Alopecia hair loss?

Does anyone know if Alopecia (hair loss) is a side of effect of the following meds?
I am having alot of problems with my hair falling out and I was wondering if it might be due to a side effect of one of the many meds that I take. I take Effexor XR, Buspar, Strattera, Miralax, or Voltaren.Does anyone know if Alopecia (hair loss) is a side of effect of the following meds?
Thats interesting you said that. I took Effexor for awhile and noticed thinning. I stopped it and my hair seemed to come back to normal. I looked it up and low and behold it was there under side effects. I think Buspar is the same. Havent heard of the others. Just look them up on Webmd.com and check the side effects. Anyway its only temporary.Does anyone know if Alopecia (hair loss) is a side of effect of the following meds?
Here is my advice ....
Been on minoxidil ( R0gaine庐 ) for about a year and a half and have not seen even the smallest amount of regrowth that i almost fell into depression.
My hair only started visibly growing on the bald spot after skeptically trying out the various natural techniques to re-grow lost hair @ http://www.regrowmyhair.info
I would highly recommend this easy to follow step-by-step guide with pictures to anyone who is suffering from hair loss right now. But remember this isn't a miracle cure for baldness as you will also need to put in some effort in order to see results. And its only a minimum commitment of 15 minutes a day to help re-grow your lost hair.
Anyway, its also a cheaper and effective way of re-growing lost hair compared to those unnatural ways which may involve harsh chemicals that may have side effects.
Effexor - yes; don't know about the others.

Alopecia - Hair Loss?
Does anyone know why you can suffer alopecia - what causes it? what are the symtoms apart from the obvious.
Can it be brought on by stress.Alopecia - Hair Loss?
There are many reasons for hair loss. Hair loss could be due to stress, medication, hormonal imbalance etc. DHT and male pattern baldness are closely related to each other. The dihydrotestosterone has a very bad effect on the hair follicles, which slows down the growth of hair or stops hair growth completely.
The main cause of hair loss is stress. Stress and mental tension leads to hair loss....
http://careforyourhair.blogspot.com/2006/a>Alopecia - Hair Loss?
I think you are right, you can start to loose hair after stress, as it's really possible!
here is my sit褍 you - can find desition there:

Hairloss in men is called androgenetic alopecia, and as the name suggests is linked to genes.
And yes stress can cause hair loss.
I suffer hair loss, well I did!
I stopped washing my hair over a year ok and it has already become thicker AND doesn't smell at all. Just wash in fresh water NO soap!
I believe hair products damage and weaken your hair.
Still got a bald patch on top though but no more hair loss.
Washing your hair speeds everything up.
when the reason is heredity, you cant do anything about it.there is no treatment.but when other reasons make u loose ur hair then u can go to a doctor and check u
As the previous person said it can be brought on by stress as well as a lot of other things. My son in law suffers from small patches but once he gets rid of the stress his hair grows back in. This is without any medication.
Hair loss can be triggered by a lot of things one of them is stress. Any kind of trauma to the body can cause it from childbirth to surgeory.
