I must say its a very informative, effective and easy to follow step-by-step guide. I highly recommend it to anyone who is suffering from hair loss.

Side Effects Of Common Drugs For Hair Loss Treatment :

Minoxidil : Cause a fall in blood pressure, an increase in the heart rate, and weight gain (fluid retention)

Propecia : May cause birth defects in male baby's sex organs if taken by women. Also, potentially irreversible side effects occurring in the group of people taking the drug are erectile dysfunction, ejaculation disorder (decreased volume of ejaculate) and low libido.HOW TO PREVENT HAIR LOSS?
Regularly cleaning and brushing the hair is very important. When the hairs are brushed, oil-producing glands in the scalp get stimulated. This natural oil makes the hair healthy. Check out http://usefulinfo-hairloss.blogspot.com/ for more info.
You should try this stuff! Works great. A friend of mine uses it and swears by it!

avoid using hair gel, spray, colors or any artificial chemicals that may harm your hair or scalp. use hair thinking shampoo such as Elvive by L'Oreal (it did work for me) to clean your hair and scalp. trim your hair regularly, having long hair creates greater tendency for your hair being pulled from scratching or brushing.

Yours or someone Else's? If its yours, then stop playing with yourself and wash your hair once in a while. look in the mirror at your fat expressionless face and get a creative wig.

Someone else's? Just point at laugh at the baldy freak. How to prevent hair loss?
Don't stress over little things, try to be as calm as you can be. Or you could try one of those hair-thickner products you might see in a pharmacy.
I've heard that one way to slow down hair loss is by eating a healthy diet, and making sure you get plenty of proteins, since proteins are the building blocks that are used to regenerate cells, tissue, etc.
i fully sympathise with anybody who suffers from hair loss i am a sufferer myself. im only 33 and the last 3 years have been the worst. i have just learnt to live with it and love myself i have just recently brought some hair extensions which has gave me bags more confidence. a very good tip i was told by an hairdresser dont put strong chemicals on your hair and to encourage growth give yourself or get somebody to give you a relaxing indian massage on your scalp to stimulate hair follicles it really does work you just need time and patience
do not brush your hair to hard
get bald
is it possible to air dry hair? i see women who use so much tugging %26amp; pulling to dry %26amp; curl hair. they use lighteners, or relaxers. they pull it back into ponytails which causes breakage. they use hairspray and it breaks the fine hair. myself, i never brush it. i run my finger through it while it is wet with gel. let it air dry, and pull it down if i want later. my hair is naturally curly. i get a cut to compliment it...not fight what nature gave me. trying to acquire a look that isnt natural for you can cost u big time. hope this helps.
If it is stress related then meditation and removing the source of stress will help. See a tricologist too...a hair and scalp doctor...but if it is genetic then you can't do anything about it really...you can try rogain (rogane) but it is a cure you have to keep going for years and years.
Improve blood flow to the scalp - head massages are good for this.
Cut it off %26amp; keep it somewhere safe so you don't lose it
impossible
You can't. Just accept it and live with it. Bald men are far sexier than men trying to look like they are not going bald! My nana always said 'Grass doesn't grow on a busy street'. I.e your hair is falling out because your intelligence is forcing it out!
Don't get stressed, stay calm and laid back.
Glue
Many minoxidil based hair loss products can be quite irritating to the scalp, especially if you have sensitive skin. There are all natural solutions available like the Nisim hair loss range.

year ago my husband suffered from hair loss too and he started trying everything you can imagine to stop his hair loss. the things that really worked for him was:

1) Vitamin A - an anti-oxidant which promotes healthy production of sebum in the scalp;

2) Vitamin E stimulates circulation. Good blood circulation in the scalp is important in keeping hair follicles productive. The 'B' vitamins contribute to melanin, which gives hair its healthy color and also stimulates blood circulation;

3) massage is also beneficial. Massage stimulates circulation. As already noted, good circulation in the scalp keeps hair follicles active. Experts suggest a few minutes of daily head massage by hand. Circulation through massage may be improved by using a few drops of lavender or bay essential oil in an almond or sesame oil base with massage;

4) Try rubbing your scalp with garlic juice, Onion Juice or Ginger Juice(you can either of one out of three, Do not mix any of two or three);

5) also he used herbal treatment - TrichoZed

It is a good product that helps prevent hair loss and it is an FDA approved product. I think it is very important!

It worked and still works for him!

I do not know if any pharmacies carry TrichoZed but I do know that you should purchase it directly from the manufacturer and read more about the product here http://www.trichozed.info/why.php

It enhances hair growth by blocking DHT (Dihydrotestostrone) - a major cause of hair loss!

good luck!

I'm assuming you want to ways to prevent hair loss naturally?

Well what you want to do is make sure that you are taking a good multivitamin that has vitamins that promote good skin and hair.

These are vitamins such as vitamin B6, B12, B5 which all are good for your hair.

Niacin or Vitamin B3 is largely important to maintain a healthy hair and scalp. So make sure that you definitely have plenty in your diet.

Speaking of diet, make sure that you maintain a good healthy diet consisting of 5 smaller meals a day. Make sure that you have a good protein balance in your diet as well. This is also important

What I would do is just search the web and look for content to help you out with exactly what you are looking for. There is a good resource that I came across:

Two egg white mixed with two tablespoon of yogurt can be applied for 30 minutes and then washed, when done at least once a week prevents hair loss . Check out http://usefulinfo-hairloss.blogspot.com/ for more info.

How To PREVENT HAIR LOSS????

IM A 19 YEAR OLD MALE ..IVE ALREADY STARED LOSING HAIR IN SUCH A SMALL AGE ....CAN ANYONE PLEASE PLEAASE HELPMEHow To PREVENT HAIR LOSS????
You should try using some products that are made for that. My cousin has started losing his hair, and he's about your age, and he uses something, Rogain, i beielve it is. He says it really works. So, I don't think it's an expensive brand. I hope that you have a full head of hair back soon enough! How To PREVENT HAIR LOSS????
Firstly, don't panic. You are not alone. Go and visit a trichologist. You can find their locations in the yellow pages.

Don't worry.
If it's a hereditary problem, then check your mothers family. Baldness is passed down through the mother. Look at the males in her family, and see how bald they are and when they started experiencing it.

I know what you're going through. I'm 21 and my hair is thinning. To make things worse, I have a really oily complexion, so if I don't wash my hair, the individual strands stick together and make my hair looks EVEN THINNER.

The problem with going to specialists is that you don't ever know for sure if they don't make money from recommending people for certain products and such. Some ';hair experts'; work exclusively for certain hair-regrowth organizations and it's too easy for them to give you misinformation.

From what I've heard, Rogaine doesn't work all that well. The best-working stuff I've heard is Minoxidil. They have a form that can be rubbed into the scalp. But it takes months to begin to work, and its effects will disappear if you stop treatment, so you pretty much have to keep using it.
hey man im 22, im starting to recede a little bit and my hair is thinning at the back

I use Nioxin Shampoo and Scalp Therapy it seems to keep my hair fairly thick. Try these.

This is gonna hurt.... but its part of life man.. u can't really fight badling.

You can't get hair transplants until you are in your late twenties... and by then your hair will be fairly thin so whats the point....

Seriously man look at Bruce Willis and Nicolas Cage....

Bruce Willis - took the balding like a champ shaved it all off

Nicolas Cage - was a poon tang and got hair impants and now he looks like a paedophile....

Seriously man you can buy all the shampoos and treaments in the world....

you're just going ot have to come to terms with.
You must try an oil called 'trichup'. It's an Indian oil available at Indian stores, or you can buy it online. It's the best thing for hair loss and restoring hair health. It's used overnight and washed out in the morning. Amazingly it really works, in fact it is an oil used for individuals suffering from alopecia to try to restore hair growth. I only recently started using it myself and it's absolutely great!
Massage almond oil into the scalp 2 to 3 times a week and wash it will stop further hair loss. Check out http://usefulinfo-hairloss.blogspot.com/ for more info.
get used to it if its genetic.

if its coming out in clumps it could be an immune system problem. It should come back but either way go see a doctor.
There's only two drugs clinically tested and FDA approved : Minoxidil (Rogaine and other brands) and Propecia (Proscar, Finasteride, etc.), there are some interesting drugs too like Dutasteride or Follica but there aren't enough studies yet.

If you're into natural stuff, the only one that might be helpful is Saw Palmeto (there are capsules for sale in natural shops) because it contains anti androgens similar to the ones found on Propecia.

Quite frankly all the other stuff are either placebos or scams.

Just to share : Been on minoxidil for about a year and a half and have not seen even the smallest amount of regrowth that i almost fell into depression.

My hair only started visibly growing after doubtfully trying out the various natural techniques to re-grow lost hair @ http://www.regrowmyhair.info

I would highly recommend this easy to follow step-by-step guide with pictures to anyone who is suffering from hair loss right now.

Anyway, its also a cheaper and effective way of re-growing lost hair compared to those unnatural ways which may involve harsh chemicals that may have side effects.
first off you really cant prevent it. everyone loses hair everyday. its called sheading.

and if ur like oing bald then you most likely will not be able to stop it. its most likely genetic. i know someone who is 20 and has a bald spot. but hes not freaking out. and hes still hot! just chill it happens to the best of us!
First you need to see if it is hereditary. Did your father lose his hair at an early age? Another question to ask yourself is if you are having hair breakage from damage. Do you wear a cap on your head all the time. Your scalp needs good blood flow. This can cause hair loss too. Also there are conditions that cause hair loss. You could go to a dermatologist to see what is causing the problem. Could be something he could do about it for you.
i hvae been losing my hair for years but recently read hanging upside down for 15 minutes a day encouraged hair growth, though i have yet to try it!

How to prevent hair loss?

My hair falls out a lot, and I mean a lot!

I wash it and it falls out, then I brush it and a lot more comes out..

I hear aloe vera is good, but is there anything else that can work to stop hair loss? How to prevent hair loss?
I started having quite a bit of hair loss myself, but i know its from my new bad nutrition habit. Are you eating healthy and drinking enough water? Also it depends on hair products and the ingredients it may contain. Or even the way u treat ur hair, do you straighen it a lot? Did you get a perm. Or even if you coloured your hair. There are a lott of reasons why your hair might be falling out, these are some that may come useful to you!How to prevent hair loss?
Apply coconut oil and massage your hair gently for 10 minutes.

Eat lot more Vitamin A, Vitamin C, Iron rich content food.

Sleep at least six hours per day in the night.

Meditate at least ten minutes in a day especially in the morning.

my cure/prevention : maintain stress free or lesser your stress in yr life by getting a hobby or sport or not working at all or stop studying at all.
    dont wear hats, or bandannas,

Also they say to get alot of head massages for circulation of blood.

Also what the first poster said with not using strong shampoos.

But there again you have to watch and make sure that your scalp is clean. Because the pores closing up from oils is one of the causes that doesnt allow hair to grow through.

    How to prevent hair loss?

Dont let dandruff cover ur scalp, and most important always keep ur scalp clean so for that you should wash your hairs daily with a good shampoo and you can also massage ur head with an oil before an hour of washing.

This wil not only solve ur problem but wil also give a shine to ur hairs. How to prevent hair loss?

There are a lot of way to prevent your hair loss. Mostly to start prevent it, you have to choose the most suitable shampoo to wash your hair. Most of the reasons is cause by the oily hair, not enough sleep, stress and eat too much oily food. To prevent it, you have to get away from these 4 factors. Find out more at http://hairrestorationproduct.co.uk/
I have already answered this Q. Any way.........have one capsule daily of IRON+zinc combined for 4 to 6 months .Thats it .Dont use synthetic shampoos or soaps for washing hair. Also dont use synthetic oils, creams, gels etc. Even if you have dandruff it will be of no problem during or after this treatment .Tried it for 35 yrs. See you. Note -***- NEVER USE CAP.For protect from sun use clean white cloth.
check it u have dandruff or what
    dont take too much stress
Get u a bottle of olive oil and put on hair at night and wash out that morning.

Makes hair grow as u sleep.
Hair loss or hair fall ? check it our before you take action

Yes, there is indeed a difference between the two! Generally, hair that is falling out will have a little whitish bulb on the end, while broken hair will not have this bulb. However, the white bulb that you see is not the hair鈥檚 root. The root, or papilla, is the true growing point of your hair. You cannot lose that. The whitish bulb is a part of the hair nearest to the root, plus some shed scalp skin, or hair follicle lining.

Hair loss is caused by many reasons such as malnutrition, illness, tension and other health problems. Homemade remedies can treat hair loss.

as i read at the book loosing about a 100 pcs of hair everyday is normal but about 200 pcs is said to be abnormal you can check that out by grabing your hair are you doing diet the book said its one of the reason of loosing hair instead meats help and also try green tea it not only helps your hair its also good for contoling cholesterol...try it...good luck...
Unfortunately, hair loss is more linked to genetics than anything.

One way to add to your hair loss, however, is to make sure you eat healthy and take care of yourself. Get enough rest, try to not stress out too much.

Also, brush your hair before you shampoo it to get the tangles out to keep from breaking the hair strands, and use a wide toothed comb when it's wet to also keep it from breaking.

(I don't think olive oil has anything to do with making your hair grow).
eat everything that countain vitamen E, the vitamin e fortify your hair, it's good,

and don't use hair Gel, it is bad
try with any shampoo which suits u .

head and shoulders worked for me well
See this .It will definitely help you http://xrl.us/herbalhairsolution
This is a tried and tested solution that REALLY WORKS. It rectifies all the damage that the hair and scalp has been subjected to by using harsh and unsuitable shampoos and TOO FREQUENT washing.

My hair was receding at temples and on the crown. Treatment reversed that and made hair grow again - yes, it did really grow back. You use an organic oil - olive oil is good, massage it in the hair then brush. I use a small palm held stiff bristled brush (a brush for men's hair) quite strongly and vigorously at least 50 brush strokes. That really stimulates scalp and induces growth. Protect pillow with old towel and sleep with oiled hair. Do that every other night. Try to expose hair to as much sun as possible that is really beneficial. In about two weeks you will see much healthier hair. Keep up a regime of two times a week after that and it will stay that way (but avoid too frequent washing and use mild preferably organic tea tree oil fortyfying shampoos). I now have a full head of really healthy hair better than it was as a teenager. It is interesting that my siblings have lost most of their hair - they blame genetics but I know it is from many years of maltreatment.

Okay so here is the deal.

I am 16 years old, the back of my head is thinning and is considerably thinner than the rest of my hair. Hair at bottom of my head, and front (fringe) is still very thick and should be fine. However I am very concerned for my future if I am already starting to lose hair.

My dad is bald, and had very thin hair from the age of 30 ish. My mums side all have alot of hair, even my Grandfather.

I do apply product to my hair, that is Gatsby Styling wax, but I am willing to stop that.

I drink about two litres of water a day, and have a reasonably balanced diet.

My mum said coconut oil is good to apply every so often. Does anyone know if this is true.

I also have a bit of dandruff, which I use head and shoulders shampoo for, and then condition it straight away.

Can anyone provide me some natural tips to be able to prevent/delay this hair loss?

I would try to stay away from chemical induced hair treatments. I found this all natural remedy called provillus here http://www.bestnaturalhairlosstreatment.… while browsing the net for natural solutions. It had quite well for me though i had to wait a couple of months to see the effects. Better than never i suppose. See if you can benefit as well. How to prevent hair loss?
I would never recommend you Chemical/Synthetic solutions as Rogaine or Propecia, those medications have side effects as

“Erectile Dysfunction” (the repeated inability to get or keep an erection firm enough for sexual intercourse) or another problem like “Gynecomastia” (that is an abnormal enlargement of one or both breasts in men).

I already used something really good, not only to stop the problem, but to regrow the lost hair and I really recommend this to you!

It is not free, but cheaper than everything else, and they have really good results.

    How to prevent hair loss?
It really depends on what is causing the hair loss. If it is genetics, then probably Rogaine, or a perscription, would help.

Other causes could be a poor diet...eat well and take a multi vitamin.

But, also, bald can be beautiful!!! Even when my step-mom lost her hair due to chemo she wore a little black felt hat and looked adorable!
I would say not to use chemicals on your hair. Why don't you go for some home remedies. Egg whites, lemon juice, oil massages, reducing stress and diet changes can reduce hair fall and make it healthier. You can find more cheap, effective and natural home remedies for hair loss as well as for healthy hair at http://www.wellnesstalk.org/hairfall.htm…

If your losing hair I would look out for a shampoo specifically for hair loss.

Pantene is not really that good in my opinion where hair loss is concerned. If your losing hair I would not use a hairdryer near your head. It can and does damage the scalp and follicles, causing further hair loss.

The best way to prevent further hair loss is to change to a healthy diet with plenty of proteins and vitamins.Take hair supplements and drink plenty of water

    Amla and Coconut

Amla or the amalaki tree, also known as the Indian gooseberry, is used to prevent loss and promote regrowth of hair. Oils or powders are widely sold since most people do not have access to the berries. You can heat amla oil or powder with coconut oil as a daily massage for the scalp, with the added bonus of potentially helping with premature graying. How to prevent hair loss naturally?
    1. First and foremost, take care of your body with good diet and exercise. These things affect hair health and can slow down the loss of your hair.

    2. Find ways to reduce stress and anxiety. Exercise, Yoga, meditation, etc. are good activities for this.

    3. Take care how you treat your hair. Do not pull at it, comb or brush it harshly, or use harsh shampoos. Reduce use of colorants and other harsh chemicals. Try to manipulate your hair as little as possible. Reduce the use of blow dryers and curling irons.

    4. Investigate and experiment with the wide variety of products available to reduce hair loss. The earlier in life you begin this investigation and experimentation, the better your results will be. Products like Provillus, for example, should be used with the first signs of more than normal hair loss.

    5. Try natural remedies, such as Saw Palmetto(primarily for men), essential oils and herb solutions. These are available at health/nutrition retailers or on many Internet sites.
I don't know why this is in the Philippines sections, but anyway, I once had hairfall, and I kept on applying chemicals that might help me, but nothing really happened.

(I am a girl, it's most likely more effective for a girl)

Then, I went to a salon in the country, then I asked the hairdresser for an advice. She said that shampooing must not be done daily, it must be done every other day especially if the shampoo is really strong. When you shampoo, you dilute it with water first so the shampoo concentration will lessen.
There are a few hair loss products out there but most of them don't work.

My husband got a free trial of a natural product called Provillus about two months ago and it really

    works.

There isn't much hair falling off like before and the hair has strengthened and looks fuller.

    Hope this helps%26gt;

    How to prevent hair loss.?

im 16 and i have started to have a massive decrease in hiar, iv begun to get many bald patches. whats the reason for this, my hair has become very thin and fine.. what can i do to stop my hair form falling out?How to prevent hair loss.?
anyway as we know hair loss can be caused by many different reasons! Find out the actual cause of hair loss! There are many causes of loss of hair such as stress, poor nutrition ,medications, thyroid dysfunctions, illness, fungal infections ,hormonal problems, to mention a few.

year ago I suffered very much from dandruff and hair loss too and I started trying everything you can imagine to stop my hair loss.

the things that really worked for me was:

    1) Vitamin A - an anti-oxidant which promotes healthy production of sebum in the scalp;

    2) Vitamin E stimulates circulation. Good blood circulation in the scalp is important in keeping hair follicles productive. The 'B' vitamins contribute to melanin, which gives hair its healthy color and also stimulates blood circulation;

    3) massage is also beneficial. Massage stimulates circulation. As already noted, good circulation in the scalp keeps hair follicles active. Experts suggest a few minutes of daily head massage by hand. Circulation through massage may be improved by using a few drops of lavender or bay essential oil in an almond or sesame oil base with massage;

    4) Try rubbing your scalp with garlic juice, Onion Juice or Ginger Juice(you can either of one out of three, Do not mix any of two or three);

    5) also I used herbal treatment - TrichoZed

It is a good product that helps prevent hair loss and it is an FDA approved product. I think it is very important!

It worked and still works for me!

I do not know if any pharmacies carry TrichoZed but I do know that you should purchase it directly from the manufacturer and read more about the product here http://www.trichozed.info/ingredients.ph/a>

It enhances hair growth by blocking DHT (Dihydrotestostrone) - a major cause of hair loss!

    good luck!

not only my and my husband`s own personal experience

    http://www.trichozed.infoHow to prevent hair loss.?
The same thing began happening to me when i was a freshman in high school. Mine was because i didn't properly take care of my hair before and after i straightened it. If you use a lot of heat on your hair, it can be VERY damaging. I would suggest to start using a deep conditioning treatment (i suggest anything from Pantene) and to lay-off the curlers, irons, blow dryers...etc.

If you feel like this is the cause of your hair problems, be glad! Because it's not permanent. Your hair should go back to normal in a matter of months.
Well heat and wind can damage your hair.

So a few things that may help would be...

    - Wash your hair in cold water (cold water is better for your hair).

    - Deep condition your hair once a week - I recommend Aussie.

    - Make sure you use heat protect serum on your hair before using heat products.

    - Try to avoid blow drying your hair or straightening/curling it.
major coz of hair loss is not havin a proper diet and irregular food habits. Just try havin a balanced diet. Moreover never brush ur hair wen dey r wet . nd d most important smile a lot , it costs nothin.:))))

If you are suffering from hereditary hair loss or pattern baldness there are 3 products that effectively treat this condition. The first product is minoxidil, the second is Propecia for men only and the third product is the laser phototherapy device, the HairMax LaserComb. These are the only products that have proof of efficacy and either FDA approval or clearance for marketing.

Unfortunately, if you are genetically programmed to have hereditary hair loss there are few products available to stop the hair loss. The HairMax has been shown to prevent further hair loss in many individuals.

Stop using shampoo's. oil your hair regularly. For oil, collect 20 to 25 Hibiscus flowers add to 100 ml pure coconut oil, not parachute or branded use pure coconut oil and boil the oil for 10 to 15 min. Let it cool and put it in a glass bottle. use this oil It will prevent hair loss, make your hair silky, and you will see you hair will grow thick and even there will be new hair growth. And start using shikai for hair wash. There is a myth that shikai will make your hair dry, but if you oil your hair and use shikai you will love the way your hair will feel healthy and silky. Stop using shampoos, there are too many toxins and chemicals added which are the prime cause for hair loss. It's complete poison your putting on your scalp using a shampoo.

I bet you will really see the change in your hair if u follow this. All the best.
It is very complicated to say for hair loss has many reasons.

In medical way you can use a liquid called MINTOP it is very good and it helps even to grow hairs in the places where your hair has fallen in past. My doctor recommended this for me. You can get it from phrmacy stores. try to avoid dandruff and dont get tension very often and have nice healthy food and a sound sleep. this all will prevent hair loss
    we
Some hair loss is not preventable. Every one of us loses 100-150 hairs a day in the natural cycle of hair growth and death. It is normal and should not be cause for concern. Further, larger amounts of hair loss can occur at specific times in life – illness, surgery, pregnancy, life-changing events, anxiety and stress, and certain diseases. Again, these are treatable and, in most cases, temporary.

More-than-normal hair loss can be prevented in several ways:

    1. Keep your body healthy. Body health translates into scalp health and allows follicles to continue to produce hair to replace that which is lost. Good diet and exercise, to increase blood circulation are really important.

    2. Stop injuring your hair: Harsh shampoos and coloring/treatment products, used in excess, will kill your hair. Your follicles cannot replace hair as fast as it is falling out when your hair is severely damaged. Likewise, use dry heat as little as possible – blow dryers and curling irons dry out and crack hair, causing it to break off in more than normal amounts.

    3. Find ways to reduce stress and anxiety in your life. If you over-react to stressful situations, lose sleep, sorry constantly, you are on the road to more health concerns than just loss of hair. But make no mistake about it, your hair will fall out in greater amounts.

    4. Use topical treatments for your scalp. Essential oils and combinations of herbs can be very helpful in keeping follicles open and productive.

    5. Use medical products developed by a variety of pharmaceutical companies, both in lotion and pill form.

    6. Start early. As soon as you experience hair loss that has been confirmed not to be a result of another health condition, begin your investigation of the wide variety of treatments available. You will have to experiment and you will have to be patient. Many products require 3-6 months before you see visible results

    7. Don’t give up. Use the product that works best for you right now, and look for new advances in the area of hair loss. Medical research is “on this,” in a big way, and lots of money is being poured into the search for a permanent, universally effective treatment.

    8. If no prevention treatments have the effect you desire, consider wigs, hair pieces, extensions or even hair transplantation.

Worry and distress over hair loss is not worth your time and effort, especially if it begins to affect your mood, your social life, and your general emotional well-being.

First you need to realize that your hair loss condition isn't totally based on your genetic makeup. Even if you notice hair loss right now, don't for one minute blame your heredity completely.

One of the main causes of hair loss is a hormone called dihydrotestosterone. You may often hear it termed as DHT for short. It's produced by an enzyme called 5 alpha-reductase, which converts depleted testosterone into DHT.

The badness starts taking place when DHT binds to your hair follicle cells. This weakens them and then they no longer are able to grow so they fall out. You're cursed with thinning hair in the process. One way to counter this from happening is to increase your intake of some natural products such as zinc, magnesium and vtamin b6. Saw Palmetto is another very effective treatment.

    How to prevent hair loss

Both my younger brothers and father suffered severe hair loss. I believe this treatment saved me from the same fate. It's a NATURAL, safe, treatment and truly stops loss almost straight away and has helped others on ANSWERS.(can send you info.) It also forces new growth. Massage thoroughly with olive or any natural oil - then brush vigorously using a palm held brush with short natural boar bristles - soft bristled for fine straight hair and stiff bristled for thicker non straight hair- so you really feel it stimulating scalp - 90 /100 strokes at beginning building up to more - each day, focusing on where loss is. Will heal scalp and unplug blocked hair ducts that sometimes cause loss - they are the painful small itching spots. A little shedding and breakage may occur at first but quickly stops as brushing makes hair stronger and better anchored. It will grow fast, thicker and It will force the new growth. Initially new hairs will be weak looking and sparse. Don't be concerned if brushing uproots them as they will re-appear even stronger. My hair has completely regrown on crown. Where receded at front regrowth was slower and sparse at first then each month it became denser. It demands perseverance week in, week out to get the same results.

Thinning and loss can be caused by many shampoos - particularly anti dandruff ones - and hair products that contain countless hair, scalp and even health harming harsh and toxic ingredients. Washing hair too frequently is another cause - removes beneficial natural oils and contributes to loss. Find ';Non harmful shampoos, etc'; with Google searches. Some will come up and be expensive or only available on-line so refine search by adding ';low cost'; and ';available in stores'; Find in GNC ,Trader Joes, some Walmart Stores, Cost Plus, Wegmans, Earth Fare, natural %26amp; health foods stores.

I Have had feed back from someone who has had even more success using treatment. His has substantially regrown in just 6 months.

    Wish you the best.

um i found this, hope it helps, i guess,

What is the normal cycle of hair growth and loss?

The normal cycle of hair growth lasts for 2 to 6 years. Each hair grows approximately 1 centimeter (less than half an inch) per month during this phase. About 90 percent of the hair on your scalp is growing at any one time. About 10 percent of the hair on your scalp, at any one time, is in a resting phase. After 2 to 3 months, the resting hair falls out and new hair starts to grow in its place.

It is normal to shed some hair each day as part of this cycle. However, some people may experience excessive (more than normal) hair loss. Hair loss of this type can affect men, women and children.

    What causes excessive hair loss?

A number of things can cause excessive hair loss. For example, about 3 or 4 months after an illness or a major surgery, you may suddenly lose a large amount of hair. This hair loss is related to the stress of the illness and is temporary.

Hormonal problems may cause hair loss. If your thyroid gland is overactive or underactive, your hair may fall out. This hair loss usually can be helped by treatment thyroid disease. Hair loss may occur if male or female hormones, known as androgens and estrogens, are out of balance. Correcting the hormone imbalance may stop your hair loss.

Many women notice hair loss about 3 months after they've had a baby. This loss is also related to hormones. During pregnancy, high levels of certain hormones cause the body to keep hair that would normally fall out. When the hormones return to pre-pregnancy levels, that hair falls out and the normal cycle of growth and loss starts again.

Some medicines can cause hair loss. This type of hair loss improves when you stop taking the medicine. Medicines that can cause hair loss include blood thinners (also called anticoagulants), medicines used for gout, medicines used in chemotherapy to treat cancer, vitamin A (if too much is taken), birth control pills and antidepressants.

Certain infections can cause hair loss. Fungal infections of the scalp can cause hair loss in children. The infection is easily treated with antifungal medicines.

Finally, hair loss may occur as part of an underlying disease, such as lupus or diabetes. Since hair loss may be an early sign of a disease, it is important to find the cause so that it can be treated.

Can improper care of my hair cause hair loss?

Yes. If you wear pigtails or cornrows or use tight hair rollers, the pull on your hair can cause a type of hair loss called traction alopecia (say: al-oh-pee-sha). If the pulling is stopped before scarring of the scalp develops, your hair will grow back normally. However, scarring can cause permanent hair loss. Hot oil hair treatments or chemicals used in permanents (also called ';perms';) may cause inflammation (swelling) of the hair follicle, which can result in scarring and hair loss.

    What is common baldness?

The term ';common baldness'; usually means male-pattern baldness, or permanent-pattern baldness. Male-pattern baldness is the most common cause of hair loss in men. Men who have this type of hair loss usually have inherited the trait. Men who start losing their hair at an early age tend to develop more extensive baldness. In male-pattern baldness, hair loss typically results in a receding hair line and baldness on the top of the head.

Women may develop female-pattern baldness. In this form of hair loss, the hair can become thin over the entire scalp.

Can my doctor do something to stop hair loss?

Perhaps. Your doctor will probably ask you some questions about your diet, any medicines you're taking, whether you've had a recent illness and how you take care of your hair. If you're a woman, your doctor may ask questions about your menstrual cycle, pregnancies and menopause. Your doctor may want to do a physical exam to look for other causes of hair loss. Finally, blood tests or a biopsy (taking a small sample of cells to examine under a microscope) of your scalp may be needed.

Is there any treatment for hair loss?

Depending on your type of hair loss, treatments are available. If a medicine is causing your hair loss, your doctor may be able to prescribe a different medicine. Recognizing and treating an infection may help stop the hair loss. Correcting a hormone imbalance may prevent further hair loss.

Medicines may also help slow or prevent the development of common baldness. One medicine, minoxidil (brand name: Rogaine), is available without a prescription. It is applied to the scalp. Both men and women can use it. Another medicine, finasteride (brand name: Propecia) is available with a prescription. It comes in pills and is only for men. It may take up to 6 months before you can tell if one of these medicines is working.

If adequate treatment is not available for your type of hair loss, you may consider trying different hairstyles or wigs, hairpieces, hair weaves or artificial hair replacement. How to prevent hair loss

Don't get stressed. Drink more tea - the caffeine will relax blood vessels which will lead to more blood flow to the head which helps stop hair falling out. Make sure you have enough vit-D (milk/sunlight). Deficiency can cause hairloss but too much sunlight can also cause hairloss! 15 mins a day is fine.

Hi crazy freak, this site may have the answer to your problem:

    http://www.hairlossmentor.com/minerals-a/a>
I've got the perfect solution for you. It's an amazing organic oil that has been popular in Israel and Morocco for years and is now just starting to get recognition for all it's amazing properties. It is called Argan oil. This oil contains all the necessary vitamins and natural element to nurture, moisturize, and heal not only your skin, but hairs and nails as well. It absorbs into the skin very fast as well; faster than most creams and lotions. It has been used by the Berber women of Morocco for centuries for use in skin, hair, nail, and therapeutic treatments. It is the all around most beneficial organic on the planet. I grew up in France and have been using it for years. It is used by models over there, and is practicially found in every spa and salon. For some reason it only grows in Morocco making it very exotic. I found a website that had the most information on all its different uses. Their Argan oil is certified and deodorized(the natural smell of argan oil can be overbearing).

I contacted them and they said they start selling in two weeks, but you can register at their website for a discount now.

It is falling at an alarming rate for the past 3 days. Please help me.I am only 16How to prevent hair loss?
    Hair Loss / Baldness

Baldness is not usually caused by a disease, but is related to aging, heredity, and testosterone. In addition to the common male and female patterns from a combination of these factors, other possible causes of hair loss, especially if in an unusual pattern, include:-

    - Hormonal changes (for example, thyroid disease, childbirth, or use of the birth control pill)

    - A serious illness (like a tumor of the ovary or adrenal glands) or fever

    - Medication such as cancer chemotherapy

    - Excessive shampooing and blow-drying

    - Emotional or physical stress

    - Nervous habits such as continual hair pulling or scalp rubbing

    - Burns or radiation therapy

    - Alopecia areata -- bald patches that develop on the scalp, beard, and, possibly, eyebrows. Eyelashes may fall out as well. This is thought to be an immune disorder.

    - Tinea capitis (ringworm of the scalp)

HOMEOPATHIC TREATMENT for Hair Loss / Baldness

Hair-loss is again just an indicator that there is something not well in your body. The hairs may fall due to a local infection or due to a systemic disorder or deficiency. The treatment also varies accordingly. The following homeopathic medicines are often found indicated in cases of hair fall:

Alum, Ars, Bar-c, Carbo-veg, Flour-ac, Graph, Lyco, Nat-m, Nit-ac, Phos-ac, Phos, Selen, Sep, Syph, Thallium, Vinca.

#1. Diet: watch your diet; avoid food items with ingredients harmful to hair growth, hair health, and, conversely, include in your food plenty of items that promote hair health and ensure prevention of hair loss.

#2. Massage of head: it's important to regularly exercise the scalp with massage, which you can do yourself, preferably with some good oil: and shampoo the hair with good hair tonic shampoo, ensuring good massage whenever you take bath, and/or, wash hair.

#3. General health: equally important to regularly exercise, keep up your cheer and good health all round, with regular habits, some yoga, too, and good relaxation technique.

    How to prevent hair loss?

My mother had a chemo embolization a couple weeks ago and her hair is starting to fall out a little. The doctor told her that all her hair will not fall out but i was just wondering how can i prevent this?Maybe eating some foods or buying some vitamins? How to prevent hair loss?
Chemotherapy and hair loss: What should you expect-

Hair usually begins falling out 10 to 14 days after you start treatment. It could fall out very quickly in clumps or gradually. You'll likely notice accumulations of loose hair on your pillow, in your hairbrush or in your shower drain.

Your hair loss will continue throughout your treatment and up to a month afterward. Whether your hair thins or you become completely bald will depend on your treatment. You generally need to lose about 50 percent of your hair before it's noticeable to other people.

It takes about four to six weeks for your hair to recover from chemotherapy. In general, you can expect about a quarter inch of growth each month.

When your hair starts to grow back, it will probably be slightly different from the hair you lost. But the difference is usually temporary. Your new hair might have a different texture or color. It might be curlier than it was before, or it could be gray until the cells that control the pigment in your hair begin functioning again.

Chemotherapy and hair loss: Can hair loss be prevented-

No treatment exists that can guarantee your hair won't fall out during or after chemotherapy. The best way for you to deal with impending hair loss is to plan ahead and focus on making yourself comfortable with your appearance before, during and after your cancer treatment.-How to prevent hair loss?
No its going to all fall out.. Mine started falling out when I recieved my third on (Retauxin) Ihave had 6 now and I am in remission.. Its been 9 weeks since my last chemo and my hair is starting to grow back... Mom need a good wig and there are many out there and or a hat... Good luck and God bless Grant M in pennsylvania
I don't think you will be able to stop it. I had little patches of hair, so I had my head shaved, bought a wig, hats and scarves.
Go to a hair salon and ask for Nioxin. I used this when I lost my hair, and it started to grow back. It is a little expensive though. Best wishes.
    go for homoeopathic treatment.
I went through chemotherapy both through infusion and pill form. People can give you a million treatment ideas of how to prevent hair loss, but they are only ';wives tales';. You cannot prevent hair loss during chemo treatment. It is possible that all of her hair will not fall out - it may just thin a little, or even alot. When mine began thinning, I actually decided to have my head shaved, got a wig, alot of do-rags and baseball caps. It was just easier and I actually felt better after I had my head shaved then when my hair was falling out. I didn't have to fool with it, because I was too tired and sick anyway. It will grow back though - so neither of you should worry!
Badly damaged hair breaks at the scalp. To treat hair loss apply a little lemon juice with some black tea. Massage well and shampoo.Rub oil into the scalp. Wring out a towel in hot water and wrap it on the head. Keep it on for 15 minutes. Shampoo and dry well. Check out http://usefulinfo-hairloss.blogspot.com/ for more info.

    How to prevent hair loss?

    you have several options:

    1. ensure a balanced diet.

    2. keep the scalp clean. this will prevent the dandruffs and hence hairfall also.

    3. use a good branded shampoo. it may be costly, but still a good brand is important.

    4. consult a doctor...make sure you don't have any disease or any genetic factors for excessive hairfall.

    5. keep yourself relaxed and free of stress.

    6. comb the hair regularly, at least 3 or 4 times a day. this will stimulate the circulation of blood inside the scalp, and hairfall will reduce.

    7. would you like some home-made recipe? then try this: smash 2 or 3 cloves of a midium sized onion. then mix this smashed cloves with the portion of hair oil you want to use. squeeze the cloves well so that juices come out. now mix it up with the oil. message this oil on the scalp thoroughly. do this twice a week. it works.

finally, let me add that, hairfall is natural. hair falls everyday and its normal that this fall is around 100 in number for each day. if you still think your hairfall is excessive, its better to visit a doctor. my parents are doctors and they told me this.

all the best. How to prevent hair loss?
It depends on why you are losing it. Go and see a good trichologist. There is a great one at Harrods in London - expensive but lets face it - you wear your hair every day.How to prevent hair loss?
Simple realy try moving further down the bed, that will stop you banging your head on the head board
Think I heard from somewhere that zinc? is supposed to be good for hair.

Some sort of hairloss treatment would be good as well. Maybe start using Rogaine? It's expensive though from what I've seen :(
rub your nails with other hands nails for at least 10 to 15minutes daily it will increase blood circulation in your scalp and will prevent hair loss.

this is a medically acclaimed therapy so try it and do one more thing to drink lot of water in morning before eating anything.

    How to prevent hair loss?

Im only 15 and my hair was always really thick. But in the past 3 months it started falling out and i cant get it to stop, its gotten really really thin. Some of the things ive tried are taking lots of vitamins and switching shampoo. But it hasnt helped. I do dye my hair, i also was on topamax for migranes, but i quit taking it because it can make your hair fall out, but the thing is i stoped taking it months ago, ive dyed my hair all my life. But idk what to do anymore. someone please help!!!How to prevent hair loss?
Hi, Joelle, I'm so sorry you're so frustrated. I'm sure you must be at your wit's end.

    Here are some suggestions:

    1) Get your thyroid levels checked. Sometimes, thyroid issues affect hair.

    2) Don't just take ';lots of vitamins'; because you may be counteracting the ones your body truly needs, which probably include a good B complex and iron.

    3) Which reminds me... hair loss can also be attributed to iron deficiency. You're 15 and probably menstruating, so have your doctor check your iron levels, too.

    4) Try not to wash your hair every single day. Use the most natural products you can. It's been shown that sodium laurel sulfate can cause hair loss.

    5) You're off the Topamax, but your hair could still be responding because there could have been residual Topamax in your system. Give your body a chance to readjust.

    6) Gently massage your scalp at night to stimulate the roots of your hair.

    7) Finally, DO NOT SELF DIAGNOSE and swallow lots of vitamins-- just because they're ';vitamins'; doesn't mean they're good for you. Let the doctor find the problem. If he/she can't find the problem, then start off SLOWLY with the vitamin experimentation.

Hope this helps! How to prevent hair loss?
Although coloring your hair can make it thinner, I think the real problem is your stress level. You are only 15. Medicines can add to the concern too, What you need to do is seek a professional in hair loss prevention. They can do stimulation treatments and also find out the real reason your hair is falling out. This site can only help you so much. After that you need to get the help from where you are, and one that is trained in the area you need. I am a stylist and understand your dilemma.
i am 16, and i have the same problem, although i dont dye my hair. you should definetly stop dying your hair because thats obviously a reason why its falling out, but i suggest vitamins that contain alot of biotin which is very good for hair growth. ive been taking it for about 5 weeks and already see improvement (3000 mcg per day) and keep up with washing your hair often. like every 3 or 4 days. healthy eating also stimulates hair growth. good luck :)
There's only two hair loss drugs clinically tested and FDA approved : Minoxidil (Rogaine and other brands) and Finasteride (Proscar, Propecia, etc.), there are some interesting drugs too like Dutasteride or Follica but there aren't enough studies yet.

If you're into natural stuff, the only one that might be helpful is Saw Palmeto (there are capsules for sale in natural shops) because it contains anti androgens similar to the ones found on Propecia.

Laser treatment can improve your existing hair but wont help you regrow lost hair, hair transplant works but i would consider it the last option especially since you're still young.

Minoxidil if you buy generic brands it's quite cheap and Proscar if you get the generic version it's reasonably cheap and will last you a long time.

Quite frankly all the other stuff are either placebos or scams.

No one really knows how it feels unless they experience it for themselves.Treatments vary widely, dependent upon age, cause and general body condition. The first step is to see a physician.

Hair loss can be an early sign of some diseases and these need to be ruled out. As well, if your scalp is itchy and scaly, it is possible that a bacterial or fungal infection is at work. Fortunately, these can easily be resolved.

Poor diet and lack of exercise can be culprits as well. The important thing is to rule out any of the simpler, temporary causes and set your mind at ease
Sometimes it takes a long time for medication to get out of your system, so that might be your problem. If not than I would strongly recommend that you see a doctor. Vitamin deficiency and shampoos are probably not your problem. You may have a hormone imbalance. So talk to your doctor about it and he/she will be able to help you. Sudden hair loss at a young age signifies a problem, especially if it's very noticeable as you mentioned.
stress can induce hair loss; try relaxing and exercising to stay healthy. take walks around your neighborhood to reduce your stress and help you relax. also, bring it down a notch with the hair dyeing.. it's not good for you as it's not natural. eat right and maintain a regular sleep-wake cycle.
You can try this remedy to help strengthen your hair and control hair loss. Mix 1 egg, 2.5 tablespoons milk powder and 1 tablespoon wheat germ oil. Massage on the scalp and leave it for 30 minutes. Wash with a mild shampoo.Check out http://usefulinfo-hairloss.blogspot.com/ for more info.
it could be that your hair is dead. i had the same thing this summer. sept my hair was burned and dead. so i started losing it all. but if you cut your hair really short then it will grow back within a month or so. thats what i did and my hair is back to normal
    STOP dying your hair!!!!!!!!!

also start taking vitamin specifically for strong HAIR growth

    Use NIOXIN shampoo
i had a friend that was the same way, i think his fell out faster because he kept it long... when he was 17 or 18 he ended up shaving his head, he still keeps it shaved, hes 24 now.
    check your iron level.

    eat more beef and turkey...

do not over do vitamins with iron it's bad for your organs...

    stop dyeing your hair!
well you should stop dying your hair and if you shower with hot water stop that makes your hair fall out as well.
Are you one of those girls who's religious about flat ironing her hair? If you are, then that explains so much.
make sure you are getting enough vitamins...my parents always tell me almonds help hair stay strong...munch on those for a while and see how that goes....
Talk to your doctor, but stress is sometimes a sign of hair loss. Also, it can be hereditary. Good Luck!
do u have stress? if u do then thats your answer
Don't try that try Cow poop
    Try some rogaine
    remember where you put them
egg yolk is very healthy for the scalp
Shave your head. you cant lose what you dont have.

my hair keeps falling out and i think i have a bald spot coming on! i dont want my hair to drop off my head so what do i do befroe things get worse?!How to prevent HAIR LOSS?
Truthfully, the best thing to do is to see a Dermatologist.

Also, if you smoke pot, quit. I know a hair stylist who said pot smoking speeds the hairloss process.

If you wear a ball cap; stop doing that also. The daily or more often rub of the cap against your head when putting on and taking it off...is hard on your hair follicles. How to prevent HAIR LOSS?
do u wear a lot of hats? maybe its the shampoo your wearing?
Hair loss can embarrass a lot of men, especially the youth. The most common form of hair loss affecting men is male pattern baldness. The hair fall begins from the hairline and then goes on receding so that an 鈥楳shape is seen. Also the remaining hair becomes thinner and shorter. In the end, a horse-shoe pattern of hair is formed at the sides. It is not a medical problem, though it can lead to stress and anxiety. If your forefathers suffered from hair loss, then the chances that you will suffer from the problem are quite high. But with Propecia, you can easily solve the problem.

Propecia is an oral prescription drug and is the first one approved by FDA as an effective treatment for male pattern baldness on the vertex and anterior mid-scalp region. It restricts the formation of DHT (Dihydrotestosterone) in your scalp. DHT is the result of male hormone testosterone. It reduces the size of hair follicles, so that in the end no hair is seen. Consequently, the hair follicles shrink more, thus

you will have to see a dermatologist. Hair loss is generally genetic, but you could have a serious deficiency in your diet or another serious condition. Please see a doctor asap.

there are alot of reasons that a mans hair thins. if you are lucky, its your diet (and that can be changed, right?) . if its isn't it could just be in your genes to begin losing hair. sorry. don't fret though. you need to see your doctor and then a dermatologist, and they'll send you in the right direction. there are alot of supplements used for hair loss, such as saw palmeto, sage, green tea etc, so if you are so inclined i'd even just go to your local health food store and get them to recommend something. it can't hurt!

  • I like to grow my hair. do i need to trim my hair regualrly? how to prevent hair loss?

yes trimming your hair does help it grow. everyone loses at least 100 hairs a day. brushing it helps too.I like to grow my hair. do i need to trim my hair regualrly? how to prevent hair loss?
Trimming is not necessary for growth it just makes hair look neat you only need a trim if you have like 3 inches of split ends otherwise your just making it take longer for your hair to grow.Take hair vitamins, massage your scalp for five minutes daily which gets nutrients to the scalp,DRINK WATER!!!!!Dont apply heat to hair more than once a week.I like to grow my hair. do i need to trim my hair regualrly? how to prevent hair loss?
your supposed to, and they say because if you dont your split ends will just split the hair all the way up. that RARELY happens. your hair will do like your hair does and basically shed the ends once their totally done.

if you have dark hair though, you might want to go and have it trimmed every few months. since your wanting to grow your hair out tell them not to touch the length, and get rid of split ends on the other layers. i just did that and i loved the way my hair turned out.

    =] hope i helped!

Why do we lose hair? how to prevent hair loss?

Why prevent it? I started losing my hair when I was 21 , and for me it's not a problem. I think that it's pathetic when you see men trying to hide he fact that they are bald, simply by combing over their last few remaining strands. If you're going bald, accept it, there's more important things to worry about. Why do we lose hair? how to prevent hair loss?
hair has a life cycle. New cycle grows in new pushing out old. Not much can be done to prevent that. However it can be prevented if breakage...keep in top conditionWhy do we lose hair? how to prevent hair loss?
there is a pill for alipecia and apparently you can also take it even if you dont have alepecia and it makes your hair grow thicker etc
    Just say NO to waxing.
You lose around 200 hairs a day, it might be under stress, age or a medical condition, if your worried go to the doctor and don't be ashamed its very common
    wash it in haggis juice
Male and female pattern baldness are genetics. There's not much that can be done to stop them, but there are plenty of remedies to slow them down. There are topical solutions such as Rogaine/minoxidil that you apply directly on the scalp. There are also prescription pills that you ingest (Propecia). Still, there are kits that you can use to nourish the scalp such as Nioxin and Hairobics. To me, the most intriguing treatment are the laser hair combs. These products have been reviewed in this Dateline NBC video report. The results are encouraging --

Other types of hair loss comes from disease/infection, traumatic stress to the body (i.e. chemotherapy), and hormonal changes (i.e. pregnancy). Hair typically grows back from these type of causes.
poor circulation can result in hair loss. Stay as fit and healthy as you can to reduce the effects as much as possible
its called having kids, they make you to stressed thus causing loss of hair...
Take lots of iron! It's better to take balance Iron complex from health food store than straightforward iron tablets or tonic 'cos that makes you constipated and messes up your liver after a while. good luck!
wash it in ale lad... if yers put the plug in yer can drink it too..
Hair loss it natural, most people lose a few strands every day from brushing or shampooing, if your like me and straighten it to within an inch of your life then you get loads falling out. I think you can buy treatments from Boots to help your hair to grow, they cost about 拢20-25
we all loose hair every day from brushing, washing etc.however if you are suffering from severe hair loss and are not happy with it there are some things on the market.regaine is a lotion you apply but its exspensive and can have differing results for each person some just get a wispy hair growth and once you stop using it it drops out, there is a herbal tablet called neurkrin which again varies from people to people that too is exspensive but is an option.propecia tablets can be given on private prescription by your doctor but again works out at about 30 to 40 pounds for a months supply.you cant get this on an nhs prescription.i only know this i work in a pharmacy these products have helped some people but not everyone and there is no magic cure.good luck!
You need to be carfle about what shampoo you use. Some shampoo is the problem to hair loss. Also if you wear hats to much that could also make hair loss.

Any way she can regrow the lost hair. My daughter has exactly same hair like my wife. She is 7 yrs old. What she should do to prevent hair loss like her mother. How to prevent hair loss ?
There are many reasons for hair loss : stress, diet, and constipation are 3 prominent causes.

I never had much luck with switching shampoos, so I wouldn't recommend it.

Vitamins can help and your wife might want to try supplements like this one: http://best-cosmetic-surgeries.com/stop-/a>How to prevent hair loss ?
there are many lotions and potions out there such as thickening hair serum that you can apply to the scalp to promote growth of hair. i believe its massageing the scalp that helps the best as it promotes bloodflow to the follicles which helps growth.

Poor diet and stress can cause excessive hair loss. A good, healthy diet and minimum stress can help prevent hair loss. Also, a lot of cheaper products on the market aren't good for your hair. Salon professional products actually do make a difference, but if you don't want to buy them all the time just use them every now and again. Other factors causing hair loss are hair treatments, dyes, products such as hair sprays and continuously using heat appliances e.g. straighteners, hair dryers etc. This leads to breakage of the hair and can result in loss. Hope I helped. (:

I'm sorry to hear your wife is having a tough time, I know that a woman's hair is very important to them. It's a statement almost.

I had the same problem and started using Rogaine for women and I haven't noticed any hair falling out. The only downside to using it is that you need to use it on a regular basis.

Sometimes you can find free samples to get you started. I don't know if there are anymore left here but you can always try http://www.freesamplesfromheaven.com/rog/a>

don't use shampoo everyday because it can really destroy your hair. try to use a conditioner also. alternate the usage of shampoo and conditioner to balance your hair.
