My mom says i use to much conditioner in my hair and i put my hair up to much. But i dont really think thats it. when i brush my hair it comes out when i take a shower too. Whats going on? Can it be maybe im brushing my hair too hard? my uncle is going bald could it be from genetics? (i dont see how though) Does anyone have an opinon on how im losing my hair or anyone know what i can do to grow some back? (im not bald and dont have bald spot so dont be a smart@ss)Female hair loss?
As far as female pattern baldness, its much more rare than male pattern baldness, so I wouldn't worry about that. I used to dye my hair alot and get it braided and it started falling out alot more when I was 18 or 19 years old and I freaked out.
There could be a few causes and I have a few tips from perosnal experience.
1. It could definately be from stress, find other ways to deal with any stress that may be in your life, or you'll end up paying for it with your hair.
2. It could be nutruition. If your body in not getting enough protein and vitamins, this could actually cause your hair to fall out and to be much weaker than normal. If you can, see a doctor or nutionist about it, if you can't then definatley go online and research how much protein and vitamins some your age and size should be getting per day and work on it.
3. It could also be what your doing to your hair. Too much of anything is bad for your hair this includes, straightening/relaxing, blow drying, curling, coloring and perming. Also if your hair is oily when you are conditioning it, make sure conditioner does not get on your scalp and try to keep it mostly on your ends. Don't brush your hair wet either, this can break and damage your hair.
You want to give your head as much peace as possible, so no tight buns or hair do's that pull at your scalp.
If you want to prevent or get some back. Start taking vitamins and eat correctly, stay away from stress, and don't damage your hair.
You may not be bald now, but if you don't start taking care of your hair, it may start showing noticable thin spots by the time your older.
Good luck and don't worry about it, just do what you can to fix it.

Go see a dermatologist who can tell you what it is for sure. I had a similar problem several years ago. No balding just thinning. It's a cyclical condition meaning your hair thins out more rapidly than normal for about three months and then it goes into remission for several months before starting all over again. It eventually settled down, but I never got back completely what I lost.
well first of all , i think you should see your doctor and have some hormone tests done. This is just to rule out anyhting. There are many reasons for hairloss. Stress, depression, not eating healthily, etc. It could be that when you pull your hair up , you make a very tight ponytail ( this defintley causes hairloss). the best remedy for hairloss is natural. you might think its strange, but try it and after the third application you will see a difference. Its garlic and yogurt. taKe a whole garlic head and then peel the cloves then mash them into plain yogrt. spread it all over your hair but focus on the roots, then wear a shower cap for 1 hour. do this once or twice a week. You might be wondering, does it make your hair stink? not if you wash your hair well afterwards. I,t will however, leave a slight odour . This is becuase garlic goes into the hair follicale and stimulates your scalp and hair growth. but all this is a small price to pay for getting your hair back. try it. It works, and no matter how much money you might spend on hair loss products you will never find anything as good as garlic.
Better than having a mustache...your probably stressed.
I am 18 and all of the girls in my senior class are losing hair. I think it's probably a final stage of adolescence. It's probably somewhat genetic.
Here are some tips that my friends and I came up with:
1. Wear your hair down more often. Although the hair loss is happening somewhat by itself, ponytails cause strain because it pulls at the hair follicles.
2. Hair loss has a lot to do with stress. It's exam season, so you're probably stressed out. I know it's dumb to just say ';be less stressed,'; but try taking some time for yourself and take a bath or exercise or whatever calms you down. It works!
3. Before you shower, brush your hair thoroughly. Your hair falls out during the day and is being held in place by other hairs. By brushing out the loose hairs, you will be reducing the ';shedding'; around the house and on your clothes.
Don't worry, you won't develop a bald spot. Your hair is probably thinning out a little, but it will not become super-thin like an old lady's. Don't worry about it!
I hope I helped!
P.S. I have to disagree with your mother; I don't think your conditioner has anything to do with the problem.
