year ago I suffered very much from dandruff and hair loss too and I started trying everything you can imagine to stop my hair loss.


the things that really worked for me was:





1) Vitamin A - an anti-oxidant which promotes healthy production of sebum in the scalp;





2) Vitamin E stimulates circulation. Good blood circulation in the scalp is important in keeping hair follicles productive. The 'B' vitamins contribute to melanin, which gives hair its healthy color and also stimulates blood circulation;

I would recommend that you go to a hair restoration specialist and have an experienced doctor assess your situation. Thyroid problems are fairly typical with female hair loss, I'm not sure that otc treatments that are EFFECTIVE for other women, would be helpful in your case. Again, I think a qualified hair restoration doctor would be the best person to assess your situation.
You might want to try DNC Spectral or the other kind DNC sells. You can get it at skinstore.com. Rogaine is ineffective after 10 years, but DNC claims that it's more successful after that period of time. They have reviews on the site. The poor reviews are generally because the customer didn't like the sprayer or it got clogged. I never had a problem with mine. It's pricey but the bottle lasts longer than it says it does. Some women have a bit of luck with saw palmetto tablets at about 320mg a day, but those women have PCOS, I don't know about using it for thyroid conditions.
